BSRS - Car Eligibility

Note: BSRS encourages participation from multiple race organizations and does not require compliance with 100% of VRG vehicle eligibility criteria. BSRS will accept listed cars with log books from a different race organization. However the following criteria are non-negotiable BSRS requirements:
- Engine & Transmission Swaps and Upgrades limited to VRG Rules Sections 4.2 and 4.3. Forced induction is prohibited. Cars must be 4 cylinder as powered in the original series. Exception is the AMC Gremlin/Pacer/Spirit as raced in IMSA RS and the Mazda RX2/RX3 rotary.
- Wheel Diameter: +/- 1.0” from OEM per Section 4.2
- Maximum Tire Width: P225 or 8.5"
- Tires: Molded Treaded Tires: Hoosier TD-R, Street TD, TOYO R888R, or similar per Section 4.9 (Hoosier A6/A7/R6/R7 and other DOT slicks are strictly prohibited!)
BSRS Eligible cars produced through 1983, continuation cars allowed, that raced in the SCCA Trans-Am 2.5 Series, IMSA RS Series or comparable:

Examples of cars that are NOT eligible for the BSRS series: BMW E21 - 6 Cylinder, BMW E30, Mazda RX7, Porsche 911/912, 914
